This Site Plan Review application has been submitted on behalf of Hadley Zabinski, sole proprietor and general manager of Paw Plaza. Paw Plaza has been in the planning stages for Zabinski for over three years, and 1 River Road has been identified for the perfect fit for her business. Extensive research and planning has gone into the business plan and site design to assure that Paw Plaza will not present any detriment to the environment, neighborhood or community.The following potential topics for discussion are discussed in the application in detail (please refer to that document below for the full descriptions):

The existing property at 1 River Road is a retail facility -- the former Herbert Candy Building; the applicant is proposing to bring a luxury full-service pet daycare, lodging, training and grooming facility to the community. The facility will utilize the existing structures on site with minimal site work needed. The proposed use of dog care facility will help promote the health, safety and convenience, morals and welfare of the present and future inhabitants of the Town of Sturbridge. The proposed layout of the facility will facilitate the adequate provisions of transportation, water, sewerage, open space, safety from fire and other dangers and provide adequate air and light to prevent the overcrowding of land and increase the amenities of the municipality.

In accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 40A Section 11 and the Town of Sturbridge Zoning Bylaws, the Sturbridge Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 6:35 PM in the Center Office Building – Meeting Room located at 301 Main Street, Sturbridge on the application of Hadley Zabinski of Charlton, MA.

The applicant requests Site Plan Approval as required by Chapter 25 of the Zoning Bylaws, for the re-development of the site at 1 River Road that will result in a luxury, full-service pet daycare, lodging, training and grooming facility.
