The Recycling Center is open to any Sturbridge resident with a valid permit; proof of residence is required.

Household hazardous waste collection is open for the season.
***March through November 2026 Collection will take place on the third Saturday of the month***

Household hazardous waste collection typically occurs every third Saturday from March - November. Collection occasionally needs to be rescheduled to maintain compliance with state requirements. We will do our best to inform the public of any changes in advance.
At a public hearing on June 11, 2024, the Board of Health approved an updated Non-Recyclable Item Disposal Price List for the Sturbridge Recycling Center, effective July 1, 2024. Click here for the updated price list.
The Board of Health also approved updated Pay As You Throw (PAYT) trash bag pricing.
Pricing below is anticipated to take effect on September 1, 2024.
