Board of Health
The Board of Health is a three-member elected board. Our term of office is three years each, with members elected on consecutive years. Our current members include: Linda Cocalis (2026-2029), Chair, Dr. Louis Fazen (2024-2027), and Dr. Sarah McGee (2026-2028). The Board meets the second Tuesday of the month. The BOH agenda and meeting locations are posted on the town webpage under town news in accordance with the Massachusetts Open Meeting Law posting requirements.

At a public hearing on June 11, 2024, the Board of Health approved an updated Non-Recyclable Item Disposal Price List for the Sturbridge Recycling Center, effective July 1, 2024. Click here for the updated price list.

We do not accept water reports from Environmental Testing and Research Laboratories, Inc. (ETR) due to the revocation of their license by MassDEP.
