The Special Events Committee is a temporary committee whose mission shall be work with the Town committees and departments to establish special events in the community designed to build interest in the Town, excite community spirit, and encourage more hotel room rentals and restaurant visits. Their meetings will be held as needed in the Center Office Building during early evening hours (subject to change).
The members of the committee will be as follows:
- A member of the Board of Selectmen
- A member of the STA or a tourist related business
- A member of the Recreation Committee
- A member of the Cultural Council
- A citizen of the community at large
There may be additional members as approved by the Town Administrator and the Town Administrator may dissolve the committee when the task is complete or as necessary.
