Veterans Upward Bound is a free U.S. Department of Education pre-college education program designed to help Veterans refresh their academic skills and give our students the confidence needed to successfully complete their choice of college degree, professional licensure, or certificate program. Tuesday June 9, 2020 - Growth Mindset & Strategies

This workshop is designed to help students build positive mindsets and develop learning strategies to start the college journey on the right path. The days run from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and focus on a variety of ways to grow a positive mindset and approach college in a positive way.
                                                          
Thursday June 11, 2020 - College Roadmap
This workshop provides a timeline and roadmap of the most critical application documents and how to access and create them. Topics include: Common App, Essays, Letters of Recommendation, Transcripts, and more.


Friday June 19, 2020 - Veterans Benefits
In this workshop we will work with Veterans to cover the federal, state, and local benefits available to them. Topics Include: VA Disability, VA Healthcare, VA Home loans, Chapter 115, Tax Abatements.

Tuesday July 7, 2020 - How to pay for school
This session Is designed to offer veterans a better understanding of their education benefits. Not all Veterans qualify for the Post 9/11 and/or Forever GI Bill but there are additional financial options. Topics Covered: GI Bill, Voc Rehab, FAFSA, Loans, Seeking Scholarships.
