2023 Sturbridge Memorial Day Parade Information

The Champeau-Vilandre American Legion Post 109 cordially invites all residents, youth groups and a special invitation to our Veterans to participate in the annual Memorial Day Parade.

The Parade this year will be held on Monday, May 29, 2023.

The parade will follow a similar route as in the past, the parade will end on the Town Common.

The Honorary Parade Marshall for 2023 is Holland resident Ron Benoit.

Parade start is firm, times thereafter are estimates:

● 0930 - Begin Forming Up Parade At The Parking Lot On The Corner Of Rt 20 & 148

● 1000 - Commence Parade

● 1010 - Flag Ceremony On Rt 20 In Front Of American Legion

● 1020 - Continue Parade From American Legion To St Anne's Cemetery

● 1030 - St Anne's Cemetery Memorial Honors

● 1045 - Board School Buses To Public Safety Complex, Rt 131

● 1055 - Ceremony At Firefighter's Monument ● 1105 - Board School Buses To North Cemetery

● 1115 - North Cemetery Memorial Honors

● 1130 - Parade To Town Hall

● 1145 - Flag Ceremony At Town Hall

● 1200 - Parade To Town Common

● 1210 - Sturbridge Town Common Memorial Honors

Bus transportation will be provided BEFORE the Parade, starting at the...

Town Hall at 09:00 A.M.

Safety complex at 09:10 A.M.

Senior Center at 9:20 A.M.

American Legion Post at 9:25 A.M.

Old Fire Station (Corner of Rt. 20 & Rt. 148) for 9:30.

Bus transportation will be provided during the parade from the Senior Center to the Public Safety Complex, and after the parade from the Town Common back to the Old Fire Station with stops at the Safety Complex, Senior Center and Legion Hall.

Any veteran, elderly or disabled person needing a ride for the parade is asked to call the American Legion Post 109 @ 508-347-3248 by Friday, May 26th.
