Exemptions

An exemption releases an individual from the requirement to pay all or a part of their property tax obligation. Exemptions are available to those that meet the various requirements in the following categories:

• Elderly
• Blind
• Minor children of police/firefighters killed in the line of duty.
• Disabled Veteran
• Widows or Widowers
• Orphaned Minor Children

The FY2025 qualifications for exemptions or deferral of property tax can be found by calling the Assessors’ Office.

The FY2025 deadline for the senior/veteran work program applications is no later than December 20, 2024.  Please contact the Senior Center for applications.

The 2025 deadline for exemption applications is no later than April 1, 2025.
