Gypsy Moth

Gypsy moths feed on the leaves of myriad trees, most notably oaks and aspen. The extent of change gypsy moths may bring to our forests is currently uncertain, but their diets are certainly problematic.

Gypsy Moth infestations run in cycles, with the current populations slowly building currently. The best control for gypsy moth is to remove the egg masses (pictured left) from trees in early spring by scraping the mass off the tree and destroying them.
