Old Business:
1. Minutes from September meeting presented for approval: motion to approve, Laurie
Palmer, seconded, Marita Tasse, vote: approved unanimously.
New Business:
Marita introduced Nick McMahon and Zack Davis from Pond and Lake Connections as
well as folks from the various lakes that were invited to attend the meeting.
Nick gave a brief overview of the services that Pond and Lake Connections provide.
Their company has two offices in Connecticut. They have 3 airboats at their disposal to
allow weed deterrent chemicals to be applied close to the shoreline. Pond and Lake
Connections work in conjunction with ESS who does the pre-study of the lakes and
recommends the type of chemicals to be used in the treatment. ESS applies for the Order
of Conditions that needs to be approved by the Conservation Committee. Pond and Lake
Connections then does the actual treatment of the lake based on these conditions.

How long does their treatment of Milfoil weed last? Up to three years.
Is their cost in line with other providers? Yes.
What is procedure for getting a bid? Get map of the various lakes to Pond and Lake and
let them know the areas with weed problems. They will get back with estimate.
