Sturbridge Business Breakfast - March

Sturbridge is celebrating one year of Business Breakfasts! To celebrate we will be hosting the first business breakfast of 2018 at the Publick House, 277 Main Street, in Paige Hall from 8:00am - 9:30am on Tuesday, March 6th.

For this quarter's business breakfast we will be discussing a number of different topics and will hear from speakers that will reflect on our local economy as well as national discourse. For this breakfast the topics will be:

  • Marijuana - Everything to know about the new laws in 10 minutes: Kevin Filchak, Economic Development and Tourism Coordinator, will talk about the State's recent changes to the recreational marijuana law, how Federal  government policies are affecting the law in the Commonwealth, and what this all means for Sturbridge.
  • Conservation and Wetlands: Rebecca Gendreau, the Conservation Agent, will talk about the goals of the Conservation Commission, their recent efforts, and discuss their upcoming regulatory changes.
  • Business Advocacy Group: Cedric Daniels and Paul Joyce the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Business Advocacy Group or BAG will discuss the newly formed group, explain their mission, and how they plan to support businesses in Sturbridge.

In addition to these speakers the Town will provide an update on some of the major projects and initiatives they are undertaking, as well as leaving plenty of time at the end for questions.

As always these events are free to all businesses in Sturbridge and all business leaders are welcome to attend. Breakfast will be served complements of the Publick House.
