Sturbridge Broker and Business Breakfast - Summary

A Discussion of the Route 15 Corridor
Sturbridge Brokers Breakfast - 01252018
Attendees gather before the meeting.

On Thursday, January 25th the Town of Sturbridge held a Broker & Business Breakfast for those who have an interest in the Route 15 corridor. It was a great turnout with over 20 people ultimately arriving for the event.

The speakers, Chris Ryan and Ron Barron of the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) presented the preliminary results of a market study on the Route 15 corridor. To view the complete presentation please click here

CMRPC then led a discussion that covered a variety of topics relating to Route 15. These conversations included (but were not limited to) discussions of:

  • Local economic markets and factors
  • Infrastructure (water, sewer, electrical, roadway)
  • Zoning
  • Green space and setbacks
  • Potential uses along Route 15 including outdoor recreation, sports facilities, industry and commercial uses
  • Various sites along the corridor

CMRPC compiled all of these discussion points and will use them in the final study report. The expected completion date for this project is within the next month and will be made available on this website.

The Town of Sturbridge would like to thank CMRPC for their presentation and their hard work on this project. The Town would also like to thank the Publick House who hosted and provided the refreshments for the event.
