Sign Inventory Project
This is a notification to all Sturbridge businesses that beginning in March 2019 town staff will begin conducting a complete inventory of all commercial and industrial signs in the town of Sturbridge. Town staff will start by systematically taking pictures of all commercial and industrial signs so please be aware that after March 1st you may see our fellow staff taking pictures of your signs from public ways or parking lots. Our staff will not interfere with your daily operations.
The purpose of this inventory is to help maintain accurate records of the status of all signs within the town and to ensure compliance with the town’s Zoning Bylaws (Chapter 22: SIGNS). In the event that signs are found to be non-compliant with town bylaws, and/or were erected without the proper approvals, the town will take the appropriate steps and work with the business to resolve those issues in accordance with our town’s Zoning Bylaws.
