Special Town Meeting - Results

On 29 October Sturbridge held a Special Town Meeting (STM) to vote on a variety of different issues including (but not limited to) the addition of a School Resource Officer at Tantasqua Regional High School, the adoption of a Marijuana Bylaw, an allocation for tree removals and more. To view the Special Town Meeting Warrant Articles please click here, or to view the meeting itself please check it out on our cable access channel by clicking here. The minutes from the STM will be posted shortly on the town's website.

Sturbridge Express Shuttle Service

The Sturbridge Express shuttle service has been running every weekend since late August and has provided services to over three hundred riders during its brief run. The service will end on 10 November. The Business Advocacy Group (BAG), the entity that has been running this service, wants to hear from you the business owners. They will be meeting later in November to talk about continuing this service in the coming year. If your business has benefited from this service, it is important for you to provide your input. Information about the next meeting will be emailed out in the coming weeks. If you have any questions in the meantime please contact the BAG by clicking here.

29th Annual Harvest Festival

The Town participated in the 29th Annual Harvest Festival by staffing a booth (see picture above) and answering questions from the public. It was a great opportunity to speak with residents and visitors alike and we look forward to coming back to the festival next year for the 30th anniversary event.
