2024 Summer Recreation     

Located at our beautiful Cedar Lake Recreation Area! The outdoor program runs for 8 weeks, June 24 - August 15, 2024.

Weather dependent! Weekdays, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM.                                                                                                                                   Flyer

This program is open to any Sturbridge resident (ages 7-14 years). Through our creative Art Leader, energized Play Leaders, patient Tennis Instructors and watchful Lifeguards, we encourage play through the following activities: Team Sports, Talent Shows, Water Games, Board Games, Hikes, Tennis, and Arts & Crafts. Free swim is offered daily and extended on hot days. Our summers are filled with themed weeks, surprise events and more! 

  • Children must be 7 years old as of June 1, 2024
  • COST: $200 for the first child, $300 for two children, maximum of $350 per family (one time fee for full duration of program).
  • Applications will be accepted until June 30th at the Recreation Department Office (301 Main St). Late fee of $50 after July 1st. Checks payable to Town of Sturbridge.
  • One Application per child. 

2024 Summer Rec special events: 

  • Thursday July 25: Horizon Wings Raptor Rehabilitation. Birds of Prey Show, with Eagle. 10:00 AM. 
  • (Date TBD) Science Heroes: Adventure Begins. A science and storytelling show hosted by Talewise!
  • (Date TBD) Yo-Yo Performance & Workshop. Includes performance by Eric Koloski featuring Basic & Classic Yo-Yo Tricks including the science of what makes the yo-yo spin! After the demonstration, children will learn how to set up a yo-yo and how to throw it during the workshop portion. 
  • Thursday August 15: Last Day Party. Featuring Sports Bounce House.  (Rain Date Friday August 16).  

 

2024 Mini Program!

Ages 4-6 

Session 1: July 22 - July 26, 2024. 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Session 2: July 29 - August 2, 2024. 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Mini Program Cost is $60 per week. $100 for two children or more, per week.

Children must be 4 as of July 1, 2024.
