Public Participation

Here's a little information about the public participation process during the update of this plan:

Public Forum. On Wednesday, April 11th, 2018 the Planning Department hosted a Public Forum to present the survey results and obtain first hand feedback from residents for the Open Space and Recreation Plan Update. In addition to the public, others present included the Open Space Committee and the Town's Recreation Director. The Publick House donated the space and refreshments for the forum.

Open Space & Recreation Survey. Thank you for your responses. We got some great feedback on athletic fields, hiking trails, swimming, and dog parks -- just to name a few hot topics! The data was been compiled by CMRPC, was presented at the Public Forum, and you can read more about it in Chapter 6, Chapter 7. If you are interested in the statistics, the Appendix F includes the Survey Results.

Photo Contest. This year we wanted to find a way to allow residents to get more involved with the Open Space and Recreation Plan - Contest Flyer. Prizes were awarded to five different age categories and one prize for Best in Show. Thank you to the Public House, The Oxhead Tavern, The Village Grille for wonderful donations, as well as prizes donated by the Conservation and Planning Departments.
